Sarah Jacobson 3 min read

In this article,  we will be discussing the storage location of Wallpaper Engine files. For the most part, Wallpaper Engine tries to keep everything organized in one place.

However, there are certain cases where files may be stored in different locations. We will go over where these files are typically stored and how you can find them yourself.

What are Wallpaper Engine storage files

Wallpaper Engine storage files are, simply put, the files used by Wallpaper Engine to store data. This data can be anything from settings and preferences to cached images and downloaded wallpapers.

The vast majority of wallpaper engine wallpapers are stored in a folder called “My Workshop Content” located in your documents folder. To get to this folder, you can simply open up Wallpaper Engine and click on the “Open Workshop Folder” button located in the main menu. This will open up a file explorer window displaying the contents of the workshop folder. From here, you can access all of the wallpapers that you have downloaded or created yourself.

In some cases, however, files may be stored in different locations. If you are using an older version of Wallpaper Engine, your wallpapers may be stored in a folder called “Workshop 1.0” located in your documents folder. Additionally, if you are using a custom storage location for Wallpaper Engine, your wallpapers may be stored in that location instead. To find out where your custom storage location is, you can open up the Wallpaper Engine settings and look under the “Storage” tab.

The contents of wallpaper engine storage will vary depending on what version of Wallpaper Engine you are using and what features you have enabled.
