So many sequels these days look and act like expansions or DLC, adding nothing in the way of new gameplay and merely building on what was previously there; fortunately, this is not the case with Sheltered 2, which has managed to add some interesting new elements to the original game.
2 Factions Have Been Protected
Factions are the most significant change in Sheltered 2. When you initially begin the game, you must establish a faction leader and build up your faction in order to survive.
Once your base is complete and your faction is ready, you may contact other factions to form alliances and trade with them, or take a more aggressive approach by dominating them and forcibly bringing them down using the new and extended combat system.
Talks come with the new faction system; it may be the end of the world, but polite diplomacy isn’t dead, and if negotiations fail, you always have your handy manufactured weapons to cut diplomacy short.
Permadeath Mode has been updated.
If you’re anything like me, you like a good challenge, and nothing beats a good permadeath mode, in which your faction’s leader is more crucial than ever, and if they die, it’s “game over dude, game over.”
Although, as much as I like a good challenge, Sheltered 2 is already challenging enough, what with the continuous fight to keep supplies supplied, keep everyone alive, scavenging, and basically avoiding dying.
Gameplay of Sheltered 2
Sheltered analysis has a high degree of customisation, allowing you to really personalize your survivors within your group.
Each survivor has their own personality, characteristics, and abilities, which may be improved by completing various tasks inside the faction’s bunker during the game.
Sheltered 2 is divided into two kinds of gameplay: base construction and resource management, as well as surface-based exploration and faction negotiations.

Near the beginning of Sheltered 2, the tutorial will have you leading an excursion outside the bunker in search of supplies to assist your survivor’s house be more secure.

While going out exploring and scavenging for supplies may be hazardous, the benefits are often worth the risk, so make sure you send the appropriate individuals out with enough equipment to survive if they come into a battle.

Once you’ve gathered enough supplies, it’s time to concentrate on protecting things closer to home and seeing to your survivors’ needs.
Sheltered’s construction mechanics are quite similar to games like This War of Mine and Fallout Shelter; the overwhelming majority of items are designed to keep your people alive and production moving.
While I liked the construction element of Sheltered 2, I found the factions and exploring sections of the game to be the most enjoyable, but Sheltered 2 fails to differentiate the building aspect of the game from other comparable games.
After a while, after your faction’s base has expanded, grinding things to maintain upgrading the settlement, as well as the constant need to repair equipment, may get tedious.
I didn’t dislike the construction element of Sheltered 2, but I did think that a few changes were required and that something was lacking, something that might have turned this game into something amazing, or at the very least better than it is now.
Summary
The construction element of Sheltered 2 isn’t revolutionary or something I’ve never seen before; instead, the game shines best in the exploring and factions sections.
Having additional permanent identified organizations, or factions, that are a continuous danger adds a lot of depth to the game, particularly when compared to the original title.
Sheltered 2 also has a Sims-style gameplay aspect, with survivors being trained using punchbags or other items to improve their abilities. Watching and assisting survivors develop may become very addicting.
