Hello, I have been a loyal subscriber to this site for quite sometime now and you all have been so helpful in the past that I decided to ask your opinion about a problem with my current cell phone carrier. I signed up for Sprint PCS as a professional service and I am very disatified. I recently upgraded to the latest phone, which is an Sanyo SCP-3200 and it has been nothing but problems ever since. The first problem was that my MMS messaging would not work and after two weeks of trying to get it fixed, they simply said if I want my messaging service to work, I had to pay an additional $10.00 per month.
Another problem was that you cannot send MMS messages unless the standard messaging is activated (which costs an addtional $10.00) and if you try to avoid this by sending through email to your cell phone you get a message saying “Your recipient does not have a mobile e-mail address – try sending this message to a different phone number.”

The third problem I was having was that after two weeks of service, my phone would not ring when someone called me. You could hear the ringing on their end but it simply wouldn’t do anything even if the phone was right up to my ear.
I decided to take them up on the offer for the MMS messaging upgrade and paid the $19.99 to enable my messaging service on the phone and I still couldn’t send a message without having to pay for it an additional $10.00.
Why you should disable MMS messaging
I called them back up to get this fixed and they told me that my MMS messaging would not work on an Sanyo SCP-3200 phone. I asked why it took them two weeks to figure this out when it says right on the box that Sprint PCS offers MMS Messaging for this particular model. Their response was basically “That’s your problem. But we can fix it, if you pay us a lot of money.” I know for a fact that they didn’t even try to figure out why my messaging service wasn’t working because they were stumped at first as well.
How to disable MMS messaging
The last problem I was having was that my phone would not ring when someone called me. You could hear the ringing on their end but it simply wouldn’t do anything even if the phone was right up to my ear. Again, they told me it’s a software issue and I needed to upgrade (for another fee of course) and once again I asked why it took them two weeks to figure out that the problem was my phone when they told me that Sprint PCS offers MMS messaging on an Sanyo SCP-3200.
The reason this didn’t start happening until recently is because I have never faced these problems before in the time I’ve had this phone with them, if it wasn’t for the MMS messaging issue I would have never upgraded my phone to begin with.
What are the benefits of disabling MMS messaging
Now I’m paying $40.00 for unlimited everything and it’s still not working right . Sprint PCS is not taking responsibility for this problem, I even went as far as to prove to them that it wasn’t my phone by showing them the unlocked system menu on my grandma’s SCP-3200 which didn’t require any extra purchased upgrades to fix the problem, but still they didn’t really seem to care.
Conclusion
