How to get started on Twitter

Matty Erickson 3 min read

If you’re new to Twitter, the first thing you need to do is create an account. To do this, go to twitter.com and enter your name, email address, and a password. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be taken to your home page, where you can start creating tweets. To create a tweet, simply click on the “tweet” button and a box will appear. In this box, you can type out your tweet and then hit “enter” to post it. Your tweet will then appear on your home page, as well as on the home pages of anyone who follows you.

If you want to reply to someone’s tweet, simply click on the “reply” button beneath their tweet. This will bring up a new box where you can type out your response. Once you’ve done this, hit “enter” and your reply will be posted. If you want to retweet someone’s tweet, simply click on the “retweet” button beneath their tweet. This will post their tweet on your home page, as well as on the home pages of anyone who follows you. You can also add your own comments to a retweet by clicking on the “add comment” button before you hit “enter.”

When did twitter come out

Twitter was founded in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity. In 2012, more than 100 million users posted 340 million tweets a day, Twitter handled an average of 1.6 billion search queries per day. As of 2013, it has been one of the ten most-visited websites and has been described as “the SMS of the Internet”. As of 2018, Twitter had more than 321 million monthly active users.

Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey, who had previously created the short messaging service (SMS) platform dispatch. Jack Dorsey had the idea for twitter while waiting for a train. He originally intended twitter to be an SMS service, but the idea was not possible at the time because of the 140 character limit on SMS. When twitter launched in 2006 it allowed users to send text-based messages of up to 140 characters. The first tweet ever sent was by Jack Dorsey and said “just setting up my twitter”.

What to tweet about

One of the most common questions people ask is “what should I tweet about?” The answer to this question is really up to you! You can tweet about anything you want, but it’s generally a good idea to tweet about things that are relevant to your business or industry. You can also use Twitter to share news, articles, or ideas that you think would be of interest to your followers. If you’re not sure what to tweet about, a good place to start is by following some of the people or businesses that you admire and seeing what they tweet about.
