Sarah Jacobson Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a fan-made expansion to Final Fantasy VII, which was released in 2016. To try and make the game more challenging, one of its developers made it so that players could exploit an undocumented mechanic by changing their character’s class mid-level. This cheat allowed for myriad gameplay possibilities not seen prior to release.
